Queen Movie Review - 2014

Kangana Ranaut’s acting prove why she would be ‘Queen forever’!

Cast:  Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao, Lisa Haydon
Director: Vikas Bahl
Run time:146 minutes
Rating4.0 star

Beyond question, the best performance of Kangana Ranawat till date. For the individuals who are Kangana's fan, well done for remaining by her side and for the individuals who have scorned her, two words "You Forgiven". As it might be said now, "Kangana is the in-thing" and assuming that you not accompanying the IN thing then you beyond any doubt OUT.

Phew, what an execution. This is some superlative performance. This is some spell bouncing performance. This is some whale of a performance. Women and Gentleman, we take colossal delight in presenting the all new Kangana Ranawat.

Queen is a film around a young lady's journey of dealing with her self. After an apparently crushing occurrence in the life of Rani (Kangana), things take an alternate turn.  Either she can sulk or she can take control of her life and move past and she picks, Paris. Well that is Queen, the film to you.

The main thing about the movie  is Kangana Ranawat. She depicts the character with enormous accuracy. I wouldn't shy away from the way that the movie is the film as a result of Kangana. Like it happens in the life of numerous a actors  and actress, this film will be Kangana's benchmark film.

So to sum up, its , "Hungama ho gaya". Go ahead. Don’t miss this for anything!!

Shaadi Ke Side Effects Movie Review - 2014

Shaadi Ke Side Effects(2014) Review

Cast:  Farhan Akhtar, Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor, Vir Das,Purab Kohli, Ila Arun, Rati Agnihotri
Director: Saket Chaudhary
Run time:153 minutes
Rating3.0 star

If you loved "Pyaar Ke Side Effects", if you love Farhan Akhtar or are a big fan of Vidya… you will be surprised or rather shocked with the kind of  Saket (director of Pyar and Shaadi ke side effects) has made. So what’s your guess? Well, it’s an over-stretched, boring at many places and thoroughly disappointing movie.

The movie opens revealing the big secret of what’s the secret formula for a ‘happy married life’. You make a mistake, say sorry; she makes a mistake, says sorry twice.

The movie definitely has few scenes and lines which will sure make you look your beloved with that curious and funny smile. Basically communicating ‘it so happens in our life as well’… other than that, the movie is just not right!

Ideally such movies should have been beautifully directed, with clean and classy humor and a subtle message because there’s not much room of innovation here. Well, here Saket has completely directed other way round. Shaadi Ke Side Effects has less humor and the story is just not predictable. To build this unpredictability in the story line, the director has taken ‘side effects’ too over board. At one moment, you get a feeling that you are watching some shitty soap of Balaji.

Highway Movie Review - 2014

Highway(2014) Review

Cast:  Alia Bhatt,Randeep Hooda
Director: Imtiaz Ali
Run time:133 minutes
Rating4.0 star

There is something extraordinarily tantalising about viewing an Imtiaz Ali film. Like a savior of the confused millennial generation, Ali dropped into Bollywood to demonstrate to them their love stories giving fantastic jewels at the begin of his career such as Socha Na Tha, Love Aaj Kal and Jab We Met.

Then came the introspection. It seemed that with Rockstar Ali wanted to get into the zone of coming-of-age stories. This is a disturbing trend.highway continues these all pattern with an angsty hero played by Randeep Hooda (Mahabir Bhatti) and a rich brat Alia Bhatt (Veera Tripathi) who  is going to get married falling in his clutches after a late night drive goes wrong.

Ali once told me that he loves the freedom of writing his own story, dialogues and screenplay before he wields the directorial mike. With Highway, Ali gets into advanced filmmaking to many people's surprise however the story and screenplay by one means or another never come together.

Alia’s exudes an innocent charm as Veera. Indeed without a clue of make-up, her battered face radiates a certain gleam. While at the onset, she appears to battle a touch with her discourses; she advances as the film advances to cinch out a strong execution. Alia is brilliant in a scene where she is sitting by the river and doesn’t know why she is laughing – she laughs and cries, possibly overwhelmed by the absurdity of the situation.

A R Rahman's music is less powerful than his earlier scores yet the tunes in Highway in any case touch a harmony. Regardless of how often you listen to Nooran sisters rendered Patakha Guddi, when it finally comes on screen, you can't hep but hum along to the tune.

This Imtiaz Ali film deserves not just loud applause but a standing ovation.

But doubtless, Highway is a must watch as much for what it is as for what it is not.

It is not a typical romantic drama, nor an average love story. It is a road movie with a difference.

Highway dishes out a trip that is definitely worth the price of the ticket.

Gunday Movie Review - 2014

Gunday(2014) Review

Cast:  Ranveer Singh ,Arjun Kapoor ,Priyanka Chopra
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Run time:153 minutes
Rating3.5 star

Indestructible friendship, chemistry, a hint of romance, a ton of activity and high-on-feeling sequences - "Gunday" has everything in great measures. The director Ali Abbas Zafar has progressed beyond anyone's expectations since his last film 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'. "Gunday" is obviously better as far as editing, cinematography and depth. It is quick paced, power packed and savage. The characters are brilliantly etched and Ranveer and Arjun's bromance is something that the men will look up to in the coming years.. Indeed with its highs and lows in the plotline, never does the film lose its momentum. The point when Irrfan's track unites with that if Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, the film progressively advances into an investigative flick. The peak is sure to abandon you stunned.  The cinematographer Aseem Mishra merits an uncommon notice for catching every single setting splendidly.

Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor's chemistry is the USP of the film. The two imbue undying energy into each edge they show up in. Both characters totally different from each and yet so similar, Bikram and Bala are the epitome of bromance. They're humorously interesting and savage with equivalent finesse. Ranveer is setting the bar higher up with each one film and Arjun Kapoor has completed exceedingly well, thinking of it is just his second film. Watch out for these two entertainers later on. Priyanka Chopra looks hot as ever yet her character's styling looks terribly out of spot.

Sohail Sen's music is now hoarding the outlines. All the tracks are high on energy and charming. If you're not hooked on to 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' yet, wait till you walk out. "Jiya" and 'Jaan-e-Ishqa' too, are gloriously composed.

conclusion: Ranveer and Arjun Kapoor's bromance is one of the best you would have ever seen on celluloid. There is no way you should miss out on 'Gunday'.

Hasee Toh Phasee Movie Review

Hasee Toh Phasee Review

Cast: Sidharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra, Manoj Joshi, Anil Mange and Adah Sharma
Director: Vinil Mathew
Run time:141 minutes
Rating3.0 star

'Hasee Toh Phasee' is not a foamy romance, rising with Kjoesque romance. It's a moderate adoration story that requires your patience, particularly with the pace at which it progresses. You either need to have a great deal of time within reach or need to be a total emotional fool to completely invest in this story.

Siddharth had made a great presentation in 'Student of the Year'. Karan Johar's camera had stroked his decently chiseled form and he had figured out how to make truly an impression. This part notwithstanding, doesn't oblige him to take off his shirt even once and is totally reliant on his acting ability. He may not be a complete match for Parineeti yet you know he has approached his part in all sincerity.

The thing is to make a normal film extraordinary, it needs the backing of whatever remains of the throws - little critical characters that stay with you considerably after you have left the theatre. The supporting throws in this film is essentially inadequate, with the exception of the touch part finished by this gentleman who sings like Anu Malik.

Vinil Mathew has gotten the most abused canvas in contemporary Hindi movies  the traditional huge fat Indian wedding. The screenplay could have been tighter and the film could have effortlessly been 30 minutes shorter. It's not a unusual love story, it is the particular Meeta and some lovely moments that make 'Hasee Toh Phasee' work.

Jai Ho Movie Review

Jai Ho Movie Review

Cast: Salman Khan, Tabu, Sana Khan, Danny Denzongpa, Daisy Shah, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Pancholi.
Director: Sohail Khan
Run time:145 minutes
Rating3.5 star

The vast majority of Salman Khan's movies have been exhaustive performers. His past movies - 'Wanted', 'Dabangg', 'Bodyguard', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2'- did extraordinary
business at the Box Office and 'Jai Ho' may turn out to be far superior.

Directed by Sohail Khan, 'Jai Ho' is a categorical entertainer with an intriguing message.

The title of the film is well-suited. The focal character `jai` played by Salman Khan is a suspended army force officer, who challenges to battle against the unjust and the powerful. He has faith in stretching out some assistance to those in necessity and longs for a prosperous country where everybody steps forward to help each another.

With 'Jai Ho', Salman Khan has been able to convey one of the best performance of his
profession and pass a very simple yet a message through this exceedingly amusing entertaining movie.

The dialogues are simple and correct way to connect well with the audiences. The action sequences have been shot very well and the cinematography is clean and more impressive.
